The first time I read this book several years ago, I became so immersed in American Indian culture, it took several days for me to readjust to my own culture, and to stop getting mad at things we do. I am much more sensitive to cultural differences since reading this book. I loaned the original book to several friends, and the last time it was not returned to me. By then, it was out of print and I was unable to locate another copy until Alibris assisted me in finding one. This is a book to treasure.
