The dazzling star of storytelling - whose recent paperbacks rocketed to top-five slots on the New York Times list - combines her genius for evoking the magic of human relationships with elements of suspense to set a beautiful new standard in fiction. John O'Rourke is a brilliant defence attorney caring for his two children after the tragic death of his wife. Kate Harris is searching for the key to a haunting mystery in her own family: the disappearance of her sister. Bringing these two together is a case that may ultimately tear them, John's family, and the community apart: John's defence of a killer whose crimes have rocked the state. In THE SECRET HOUR, Luanne Rice applies her bestselling blend of love and family to a riveting story of two people searching for the truth, for the true meaning of justice, and for each other.

This book is a pdychological thriller with such unexpected developements and a surprise ending I was caught completely off guard. The book is about unconditional love for family and those special people found once in a lifetime that if we are lucky enough to find we fall in love with and hopefully spend the rest of our lives with. It isn't just about true love but also true deception that hurts someone to the core of their soul and loss to those who are innocent that changes people forever. I recommend this book to all and especially to Luanne Rice fans , definately worth reading.I have a very eclectic choice of what I read. Sometimes very deep, some times new writers I have missed, Romance, Mysteries, fiction and non-fiction. I think we read what our moods guide us too. I just recently discovered Luanne Rice and she has become a favorite quickly.
