This book emphasizes the human aspect of the Alps and the traditional lifestyles of the people who live in these mountains. We journey through Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Alpine regions of France and Italy, Bavaria, Slovenia, and Austria. Some of the notable places described include Zermatt, St. Moritz, Chamonix, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Lake Bled, and Innsbruck.
