D.W. Stevenson is always good...no matter which book she wrote they were all great! Granted some are better than others...but I think that may be in the eye of the beholder. You can never go wrong with any of her books.

charming
I'm a DE Stevenson fan, have read all her novels but one. This is one of her better novels. Nice period piece, circa WWII. Young lady finds herself and meaning in her life after being jarred out of her rut by a London bomb blast that break all her windows. She travels north, meets lots of new and interesting people (mostly nice), falls in love, has a misunderstanding with the fellow (of course), etc. Interesting side plots, good character studies, likeable heroine.
