Very Good. No Jacket. 1st printing (1946). LXXII plates. Original cream cloth with gilt titles and decoration to front cover and spine. VG copy, binding reasonably square and tight, corners gently bumped, cloth cover bright with some minor marks, pages gently tanned, light foxing to prelims, two tape marks to rear pastedown, otherwise internally very good, no dust jacket. Contains the DECORATIVE BOOKPLATE on front pastedown of Ron Cresswell, printed by his brother-in-law the English artist and printmaker MORRIS COX (1903-1998) at his Gogmagog Press.
