I finished this book last month so itââ?¬â?¢s not SUPER fresh in my mind (Iââ?¬â?¢m terrible at remembering details after finishing a book) but I did really enjoy OPHELIA AFTER ALL. The book has all of the things that make YA so special. A main character figuring out who she is and where she fits in the world, conflict with her parents and friends, and of course, the build up to prom. One of the main plot points in the book is Ophelia working through the complicated feelings that are oneââ?¬â?¢s sexuality. Ophelia has always been considered ââ?¬Å"boy-crazyââ?¬Â? by her friends and family, but what if ââ?¬Å"boy-crazyââ?¬Â? Ophelia happens to have a crush on a girl? The author did a fantastic job of navigating these feelings and exploring a topic that is probably fairly common. Iââ?¬â?¢ll put this up there with TO ALL THE BOYS Iââ?¬â?¢VE LOVED BEFORE, THE HENNA WARS, and RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE in terms of YA romance books that I absolutely adored and would recommend.
