I recieved a copy of this book for Christmas when I was two. I loved reading the book each year at Christmas as a child, and now share it with my young son. The story is very clever and appealing to anyone who has every shared their lives with a cat. The illustrations add to Mog's appeal as the illustrator seems to capture the essence of feline expression. My favorite part has to be when Mog sees the father carrying the Christmas tree and thinks that it is walking. "It was a tree. It was a tree walking." I will continue to read this book to my son each Christmas and perhaps it will become a family tradition.
