This series really is beautiful, but I wouldn't rely on it in a strange city. Lots of color pictures and interesting, not run-of-the-mill cultural information. But the layout, I think, makes it hard for a quick reference. Although sized well to be carried around, I'd use a guide with fewer aspirations for getting from place to place; once at your destination this could be handy. I'm buying a few now that I'm home just to read more about what I saw.
