One of those surprising finds among used books. It grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go. I could not put it down until it was done. A terrifying premise, nuclear warheads detonated in Antarctica (a supposedly agreed upon non-military zone), shears off the Ross Ice Shelf and sets in motion a seemingly unstoppable giant tsunami. The two people who set about to outrun it, stop it and expose the terrorists are very unlikely as a couple. He is a Navy SEAL Captain, she is a radical environmentalist and oceanographer. He is likeable, she is not, but they work together to save the world. A nice side love story develops between Major Bailey and Commander Huber.
