Read the first two books before this one (Software & Wetware). A brilliant cyber-punk trilogy that takes you further into pure sci-fi than I've been in a long time. Inventive, accessible, and credible. From seamy to sublime, Rucker is a genius. The fourth is worth reading, but this trilogy stands on its own.
