Projects are at the end of each chapter and hints and tips are given throughout, so that learning is progressive and fun. In addition to the author's own drawings, the book features artists, to illustrate different methods, styles and approaches. The author is an experienced teacher of art and has written and illustrated many children's books. She is a regular contributor to the "Artist's and Illustrator's Magazine".
