Splashy, CD-ROM style graphics introduce clips from the aforementioned films plus Jason Goes to Hell, Hellraiser, Wishmaster, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Child's Play 2, Candyman, Scream, The Guardian, The Dentist, Phantasm, Puppet Master, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween. The emphasis, however, is not on the films themselves, but on the "boogeymen" they unleashed on the collective pop culture consciousness, such as Pinhead, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Chucky, Blade, Norman Bates, Jason Vorhees, and Michael Myers. Boogeymen eschews traditional narration and documentary technique, focusing instead on quick, bullet-point snippets about the characters and their preferred methods of maiming, torturing, and killing. The DVD version, however, features an optional audio track featuring narration by horror-sci-fi star Robert England.
