An Exceptional Resource
I retired from the military several years ago and found a job as a "measurement and verification" engineer. Requiring a knowledge of stochastic modeling and processes, I purchased this book with the intent of implementing robust statistical procedures to verify energy savings on large multi-million dollar energy projects. The text did not disappoint ... the material was clearly written, ample example problems were given, and the presentation had a natural & logical flow. A presentation of the matrix form of the regression equations and relationships was especially helpful for implementing computer-based algorithms. As a result of this text, I was able to upgrade nearly all verification processes for these large energy contracts. I use the text as a reference for all my technical papers and presentations and have also been requested to teach others my methods. I highly recommend it.
