I am a vintage singer sewing machine buff and found the history of the sewing machine and the man to be very interesting. He began the installment plan of purchasing a home appliances, started production lines with interchangeable parts, introducted the sewing machine worldwide and gave the every day woman a way to better themselves by owning a sewing machine. Along the way he courted and won many women, had numerous children out of wedlock, made and lost his fortune. If you are familiar with vintage singer sewing machines, give it a read. If not suggest you pass.
