Quincey Books sells books of many fiction and nonfiction genres in trade and mass market paperback editions as well as hardcovers and some audiobooks. Owner Alex Nelson started working in independent bookshops in 1998. Among other endeavors, including a 10-year career in law and taking up trail and ultramarathon running, Alex worked in iconic bookshops in Austin, Texas; Durango, Colorado; and Denver, Colorado, between 1998 and 2015. Quincey Books opened in February 2021, named for Quincy Street and Quincey Morris, the Texan who helps defeat Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel. We are a family-run outfit, currently offering online sales through Alibris with the dream of one day going hybrid brick-and-mortar-and-online.
