It seems everyone I know who saw the PBS broadcast of this concert has purchased the CD at the very least.

It is available as a terrific DVD. It captures all the nuances of the July 2008 concert in London, including the audience. What is MAGIC is the incredible ensemble of musicians and singers who collaborate with Leonard Cohen and produce a passionate and perfected sound.

Every time I watch it (over and over), I am caught up in their dynamic performances. Each of them is a virtuoso. Some of the instruments, I had never seen before.

I think Cohen only gets better. He's wry, he's humble, he's gravelly. He has aged like fine wine. The songs are mostly taken from recent albums, with reworking of a few classics at which you will wonder anew.

If you were ever taken with a Leonard Cohen song or poem, if you appreciate fine guitar playing, horns, organ riffs that take you back to the days of Blind Faith-- you owe it to yourself to get this DVD. You will not be disappointed.
