More modern rendition of Omega Man
which starred Charleston Heston in 1971.
    Post apocalyptic. Entertaining.

While there have been various remakes of the book, this one is pretty good. However, since it differs from the book at the end, the meaning of the title is left up to creative thinkers. This was probably done for the younger, explosion-needing mindset, but it detracts from the film. Will Smith's acting is slick and collected. Overall, a great performance, but lacking some of the 'punch' at the end.

  • Dissatisfied About Futuristic Movie Oct 10, 2008
    by The Pageturner

I waited a year to see this movie and I have been sorely disappointed. The only thing that saves it is the fact that Will Smith is in it. The plot has been over used many times and if the movie hadn't ended so quickly, perhaps it would be mediocre. The ending did not satisfy me and I was left asking, "Are you serious? THAT was the end." I have not seen many movies, but I will tell you now that it does not meet the standards of a "good" movie, but a "so-so" one. I recommend watching it if you love Will Smith (like me) or if there are no other movies to view.

I havn't read the book yet but the movie is INSANE. The only real creapy parts were the unexpected loud crashes and booms. I'm going to read the book but until then I'll watch the movie. If you like wacked out zombie people and Will Smith kicking but then you'll love this movie.
