This book has some of the best period photographs of WWII shipbuilding in the San Francisco bay area that I have ever seen. Very well detailed captions on the pictures and well researched text makes for very interesting reading. From mud flats and bare land, within months America's ability to come together in a focused manner created a dynamo of dozens of ship builders along the waterfront from San Francisco to Stockton.
