This charming book contains children's poetry spanning from 1894 through to 1947. It includes a poem by Lewis Carroll (Through The Looking Glass/Alice in Wonderland Author) as well as Mother Goose and Carl Sandburg. Unfortunately for me I am not familiar with the majority of poets/writers that are listed. But, I am becoming well acquainted with their work. The black ink illustrations are very nice, and are listed as decorations rather than drawings. A nice addition to a young child's growing library.
