Volumes 1 and 2. Complete set. This is an ex-library book and may have the usual library/used-book markings inside. This book has hardback covers. In fair condition, suitable as a study copy. No dust jacket. Folio. Leather binding, with gilt motif and lettering on front boards and spine. Front board of vol. 1 is detached from the page block at p. 40. A few pages are loose but present. Some light staining and discolouration to the boards. Both backstrips are split with some large chipping and loss to the leather. Pages clean, beside some very occasional foxing.
Fair. Green cloth hardbacks with gilt lettering and gilt top page edges. Cloth is in good condition with light wear at the spine ends and some wear-through at the corners. Binding is dry and cracking, and pages are coming loose. All pages seem to be present. No marks except for the usual library notations. The author inscribed and signed (in French) in volume I on the blank page after the title page.; 4 Volume Set; Ex-Library; Signed by Author.
Three volumes in black embossed cloth with gilt lettering on front boards and spines, and gilt decorations on spines. Top edge of page block is bright gilt in each volume. Small holes on outer front and rear hinges on volume I, and frint outer hinge on volume III. The spine gilt is dulled on all three volumes. Bookplate on front pastedown of volume I. "Three Hundred and Sixty-Five Compositions from the Four Gospels with Notes and Explanatory Drawings." Full page color illustrations all have tissue guards. In Latin and English, translated by Mrs. Arthur Bell. Hinges are tight in all three volumes-a nice set, very clean internally and externally. Will require additional shipping charges, and no overseas deliveries.

Bound in little bumped and worn vellum backed boards. Ttitle pages printed in colors, beautifully illustrated with chromolithographs, black and white drawings and duo-tone plates. With decorative initials throughout. Little toning to the edges of some pages, a few of the plates had some adhering to the opposit leaf but this is minor. A very nice set of this heavy production. Name and bookplate on end paper.
