This book took one into WWII and was hard to put down-the descriptions, pictures, diagrams helped you follow every mile of that great battle. All the background info on each major character gave much insight into their personal lives as they lived through the tremendous undertaking - from both sides. Sad as it was, but obviously a victory to end the terrible war ,this story would make every American proud.
