VG+/VG+ Cloth in Pictorial Dust Jacket. Not paginated (140pp), 60 vivid color plates. Originally published in 1987, this 2004 printing by DAP is stunning in it's vibrancy and quality. This is the enlarged and redesigned edition of Joel Sternfeld's landmark first book of ironic color photographs, 1987's "American Prospects". Digital scanning and offset printing techniques have caught up with the photographer's eye, and this current version succeeds in presenting Sternfeld's seminal work as it was meant to be shown. It is in a substantially larger format printed by Gerhard Steidl, and includes an additional essay by curator Kerry Brougher.
