Banks is first-class writer, tells entertaining and meaningful stories in clear prose. If you accept the SciFi medium, you will find him one of best authors writing today. You may disagree with some or all of his philosophy, but it has weight and gives you substance to consider. The adventures are entertaining, the thoughts create debate. PS. Purchased hardback edition at low price and it arrived in excellent condition.
