That was the reaction I received when my son opened this present on Christmas morning. My 9 and 7-year old sons love to draw and they love Pokemon so this was a logical choice.
Some characters are harder to draw than others, obviously, but as they work their way through, the practice makes it easier for them. It is also helpful if one of their favortie characters is in there and Pikachu is still king. Make sure you have plenty of paper in the house because it will be used. Ruled and unruled, if not tracing paper too.
It's not a thick book, but considering they are drawing, I felt it was still a good value. I also haven't seen many of these or the handbooks in stores.
