Having read a lot of accounts, listened to quite a few radio programmes and watched several films relating to the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, I think this book by Walter Lord (1917 - 2002) is still the best source of information about the event - it is certainly the most illuminating book on the tragedy I have come across.
I regard this book as the definitive work on the subject. A book to remember.

The best Titanic resource!!
This book is a wealth of information. It tells about the sinking of the Titanic as seen and quoted by the real passengers that survived to tell the tale. Some people contradict each other with their stories and this adds to the overall mystery of the Titanic. The only thing I didn't like is that perhaps half a dozen quotes that the author incorporated used mildly inappropriate words. Aside from that this book is great!

The story of the Titanic
An excellent account of the disaster and massive loss of life that followed after this so called "unsinkable" ship struck an iceberg in the middle of the night just over 100 years ago.

Just as advertised
This is an out-of-print book that was hard to find. The price was reasonable, and the book shipped quickly. It was in the condition promised.

Very Good
Very good review of the Titanic disaster. I am reading several books on the Titanic for its centennial anniversary and this is one of the best I've read. A lot of details. Highly recommended.
