    As a collector of vintage cookbooks, I have to say this is the very best reprint I have ever seen! The old 1950's editions have become my favorites, as they have so many classic recipes for the dishes remembered from childhood...before we were concerned about carb intake, low fat, and diets. If you are looking for a "Healthy Lifestyle" cookbook, this is not for you, but if you want to take a wonderful trip back in time, then this is THE book for you! When I page through this book, I am transported back to my Nana's kitchen and the fondest memories I have of time spent cooking and baking. The book is so authentic, right down to the pages being copied with "aged" edges, yet it is not worn out from use as are so many of my original cookbooks. This is a fantastic collection of recipes with clear and concise directions and many useful tips. If you want a book full of great recipes and much nostalgia, I highly, highly recommend this cookbook!

    I am delighted with this reprint of my favorite cookbook. After years of use by everyone in my family, some pages in my cookbook were missing or torn and I had gone so far as to borow similar cookbooks from friends to copy mising pages. However, most of these books were only similar, not identical. I was really excited when I saw the reprint being offered and since receiving it, I am happily revisiting old favorite recipes.
