Tim Dowling

Tim Dowling was born in Connecticut in 1963. He moved to Britain in the early 90s, cutting short a promising career in data entry to work as a freelance writer, until he gradually became unfit for any other form of employment. He writes regularly for the Guardian and is the author of a biography of King Camp Gillette entitled Inventor of the Disposable Culture. Dowling lives in London with his wife and three sons. The Giles Wareing Haters' Club is his first novel.
