Sasha Sokolov

Sasha Sokolov was born in 1943 in Ottawa, Canada. His family left for the USSR after his father was exposed as a Soviet spy. Raised and educated in Moscow, Sokolov worked as a journalist, game warden, coal stoker, night watchman and lab assistant in a morgue. His other books include "Between Dog and Wolf, " winner of the Andrei Bely prize; "Astrophobia; A Perturbed Chrysalis, " and "Triptych."
