Robert (Bob) Peterson was born on April 14, 1961. His love for science and analytical thought led him to become a top computer professional from an early age. At the age of 18, he started having out-of-body experiences (OOBEs) which ignited a passion to study OOBEs, near-death experiences, religion, parapsychology, mediumship and new-age philosophy. His first book, Out of Body Experiences: How to Them and What to Expect was published in 1997 and has been translated into German, Russian and Japanese. The sequel, Lessons Out of the Body was published in 2001. He's taught OOBE classes and written numerous articles for the Internet that are available on his web site: www.robertpeterson.org. Employed by Red Hat, Inc., Bob works on one of the most complex areas of the Linux kernel: The GFS2 clustered file system. He has many hobbies, including international travel, writing, reading, photography, kayaking, biking, hiking, woodworking, stained glass art, motorcycling, fishing, computer building, strategy gaming and listening to music.
