Rene Cloke

British illustrator Rene Cloke (1904-1995) was most active from the 1930s through the 1950s. Born in Plymouth, she later moved to London to create greeting cards. During World War II, she worked for the War Office as a map-tracer for the Royal Air Force. After the war, she devoted her talents to children's books.
