Marcy Heidish

Marcy Heidish is the author of nine books, three of which are historical novels about spiritual women who, empowered by their faith, boldly defied societal roles. Heidish's acclaimed "A Woman Called Moses" is based on the life of Harriet Tubman, a legendary conductor on the Underground Railroad. A Literary Guild Alternate Selection, this work was made into a 1978 TV movie starring Cicely Tyson in the title role.
