Huss began her writing career as a weekly food columnist for "The Two Rivers Times" in Redbank, New Jersey. Then Juli traveled to Czechoslovakia, Brazil and then onto Japan supporting herself with freelance assignments for Mode, Cosmopolitan, Manhattan Style, Beauty, Holiday Home & Entertaining, Special Reports, Natural Living Today, Aveda, and Hamptons magazines.
