Jerry Johnson

Jerry Johnson, former newspaper reporter and editor, investigates the dark side of America's justice system in the 21st century when law enforcement, the courts, and penal institutions have been privatized. Author of two other novels -- 'Hunting Birds' and 'Ivory and Gold' -- and five collections of essays and short stories, Johnson and his wife Patti live in a 135-year-old log house on an upper Midwest farm they manage for wildlife habitat.
