James L Felder

James L. Felder has been involved in the AME Church since his birth. He has been involved in civil rights since his election as vice president of the NAACP Youth Council at Mt. Pisgah AME Church in 1954. He was one of three blacks elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 1970, becoming the first to serve since Reconstruction.
