Howard Freeman grew up on the Upper East Side in a building that was dubbed "Nevsky Prospekt" by the New York Times because of its high percentage of Russians who'd emigrated after the Revolution. He attended Trinity School on the Upper West Side and was occasionally punched by the neighborhood public school kids because of his blue blazer, motif tie, and bowl cut. The author lives in Manhattan with his wife, three sons and, soon, a dog. They are still picking out the dog, and his wife and three sons will have their way. He will be the one to walk it in December. He can tell you that much. Howard works as a fundraiser for an organization that does outreach to teens in more than 101 countries and all 50 states.
