Gerald Durrell
Gerald Durrell (1925-1995) was an English zookeeper, conservationist, and author. In addition to founding the Durrell Wildlife Conservation and the Durrell Wildlife Park, he was also an author of many fiction and nonfiction books based on his life as an animal enthusiast. One of his most critically acclaimed works, My Family and Other Animals , tells of his childhood on Corfu and was later made into a television series.
