Donna Morrissey

Donna Morrissey was born in The Beaches, a small outport on the west coast of Newfoundland. She studied at Memorial University and lived in various parts of Canada before settling in Halifax. In 2000, she won the Canadian Booksellers Association’s Libris Award for First-Time Author of the Year for Kit’s Law, which also was shortlisted for the Chapters/Books in Canada First Novel Award and the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award.
