Davis Grubb

Davis Grubb (1919 1980) worked at NBC Radio while writing short stories in his free time. His novel "The Night of the Hunter" became an instant bestseller and was voted a finalist for the 1955 National Book Award. The book was turned into a classic film starring Robert Mitchum and Shelley Winters. His 1969 novel "Fools Parade" would also be made into a motion picture starring James Stewart.
