Bill Sanders

Bill Sanders was born in Springfield, Tennessee, and grew up in Pompano, Florida. He attended Western Kentucky University on a football scholarship and in 1953 set an NCAA record for pass completions. After earning his BA in English, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan, then worked as a writer for Pacific Stars and Stripes .
