Audouin Dollfus

Audouin Dollfus had developed research in astronomy at the Meudon Observatory from 1945 on. He was an honorary astronomer of the Paris Observatory, and his work on the planets, the solar corona, astronomical instrumentation, and the observer telescopic ball earned him the Grand Prix of the Academy of Science and the Jules Janssen Gold Medal of the Astronomical Society of France.
