Amelia Michaels is a native of eastern North Carolina. She still resides in North Carolina with her family. Her first novel, Autumn Seclusion, was praised by Encore Magazine as an impressive insight into a broken woman, a novel that was written to help women going through an existential crisis. Her work has been highly recommended by Midwest Book Review. Nordic Ice, her second novel, has been praised by Encore Magazine as an exposition of love and a captivating and realistic love story. Her third work, The Music Box, Secrets Revealed Behind my Door, is her true-life memoir, written for women and children of abuse. In Amelia's fourth work, Back in Those Days, the reader is able to view the author in a new light. This memoir steps back in time to the mid-1940's. Amelia spent countless hours interviewing Lucas Reign Butch Ellington in order to write about topics that our society tragically still relates to today. This true story highlights the serious topics of mental illness, suicide, and cancer. Yet, it offsets this with the humorous adventures of Butch Ellington growing up on a farm in eastern North Carolina when farming always began right before the rising of the sun. Amelia Michael's book, Back in Those Days, emphasizes the value of work ethic, the love the narrator has for his family, and the struggles associated with rural farm life. When not writing, Amelia Michaels is an educator and she is an equestrian. See less
