Death of a Boy is Aja LaGrand Blount's fourth publication. This tale is the beginning of a series that takes the reader on a journey into the life of a teenager forced to grow up fast. As an author, Aja LaGrand expounds on many issues a young child may have to deal with while being raised in an unsuitable condition. In some areas of this world, having a parent suffer from drug addiction is real. The things that parent would do to obtain that destructive pleasure ultimately hurts the child more than one can see. When penning this tale, Aja LaGrand gathered so much from the things he'd seen throughout his life, the stories he may have heard, and overall perception of the world. While this is a work of fiction, there are many children similar to David Thrine that's going through hell because of their unfit living conditions. Like David, many of them have to turn to the streets to survive and find out early that there is no love for them there either. So, in essence, any one of them children could play the role of David, while their life could be the pen used to bring that story to the world. See less
