A Prince

Alison Prince wrote a play for a radio contest when she was twelve, and won! She was awarded a silver pencil, which she still has. That was her beginning as an author. She has gone on to write and illustrate more than 40 books for young readers. Prince has also worked as a writer for television. She now lives in Scotland, and claims that using her imagination can sometimes be hard work. To relax, Prince works in her garden, plays the clarinet in a jazz band, and practices t'ai chi.
