Driven by the same powerful search experience that has made Alibris a top source for new and used books, Alibris will become a top destination for customers looking to save on new and used DVDs, CDs, and hard-to-find music and movies.
Along with more than 75 million books for sale, Alibris has now expanded to offer millions of new and used CDs and DVDs from thousands of sellers for a more complete media buying and selling experience. Alibris also offers older, collectible music and movie formats, such as LPs, VHS tapes, and Laserdiscs. The increase in inventory offers a greater selection for customers, and those Alibris customers are a new sales channel for the scores of independent sellers who are signing up to expand Alibris's music and movie catalog.
Alibris is working with All Media Guide data services, which was recently acquired by Macrovision® Corporation, to offer the user a superior and highly engaging discovery experience. Macrovision's extensive catalog of music and movie cover art, genres, and product data improves the Alibris shopping experience for buyers, and simplifies the listing process for Alibris's network of sellers.
