Fair. The item is very worn but continues to work perfectly. Signs of wear can include aesthetic issues such as scratches, dents and worn corners. All pages and the cover are intact, but the dust cover may be missing. Pages may include moderate to heavy amount of notes and highlighting, but the text is not obscured or unreadable. May NOT include discs, access code or other supplemental materials.
Good. 4to-over 9æ"-12" tall. Large quarto paperback. 152pp., Bibliographical Notes, Index. Illustrated. First edition. No previous ownership marks. Light reading wear such as mild spine crease. Rear panel shows multiple white specks--from printer, actually lack of color due to oil during printing process. Else a clean, square, unmarked copy. Good or better.
A brief history of Yokosuka Base from Tokugawa times until the late 1970's. Many excellent photographs of the base in the early post-war period and an easily readable and easy flowing text. Only extant English language history of the base. Highly recommended as a reference source as well as an interesting story of one of the U.S. Navy's most important bases. Author was going to write an update, but unfortunately never completed it.
