I love the history of WW2. When I picked this up I was expecting a good book. However all I found was dramatized scenes, I can barely find out what really happened in the stories. The author is someone who you can tell doesn't know anything about WW2. When you read a Stephen Ambrose novel you just have that warm feeling your reading a historians book, but not for this one.
However it is good for the stories. I would recommend get the book, take the names and read their MOH citations. You would probably find that the author dramatizes alot of the events.
It is an okay book if you can't tell the difference between a no BS war book and this one. I will give the author props he has alot of good tales.
