Acceptable in Fair jacket. Used. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Dampstain of 1 1/2" on head at spine, and its continuation down the front & rear jacket for 3". Very minor shelfwear otherwise (some few scratches). One oddity: The DJ seems to have been cut 1/4" short--I suppose that could be deliberate, because of the rather handsome narrow black strip at top & bottom it provides. Interior bright, crisp, unmarked. While the general assumption has been that men made the important contributions in history, author Ehrenberg ". argues that the true contribution of women, especially in the discovery and development of agriculture, was much greater than has been acknowledged to date. Examining the evidence through archaeological, anthropological, and classical documentary sources, she throws new light on the lives of woman and their social status in Europe from the Paleolithic era to the Iron Age."--from the jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.
