If you are looking for answers on raising children in a mature adult like manner without yelling, physical violence, mouthiness, etc and how to appropriately communicate with and serve consequences to children for their positive/negative behavior....Glenn Latham's books are it. What's a Parent to Do is a more drawn out version of Parenting With Love and uses examples from the scriptures throughout. If you want a quick fix it book - Parenting With Love is a great starter. For more thought provoking What's a Parent to Do is nice. Both books refer to the how-to guide "Power of Positive Parenting"....a must have for every household. They use real life scenarios and examples to help the reader understand what is being meant and how to apply it. The dialogue Glenn uses can also be applied in the workplace, home, marriage, and in any environment where communication is used. He's wonderful!
I have been reading self improvement books for 10 years and I have to say, these are the best I have read yet that help you know how-to communicate and handle conflict in a very mature, adult like manner, while maintaining self control and staying calm regardless of hostility coming from the other person.
