Fraying at corners and edges. Some cover tears at spine. Binding appears tight. Some signs of an ex-l; ibrary book. Pages yellowing.

VG+ The Standard edition consisting of 25 Volumes bound in the original re d cloth with gilt blind stamped armourial design on the spine, blind s tamped decorations to the front boards and gilt lettering to the spine s. Each volume with frontis engraving by Hardie. small 8vo size. Overal l a VG set, volume 1 with the most wear, corners are rubbed almost thr eadbare, small spot on the front fly leaf and soft but not cracked or loose hinges. The other 24 volumes are in better shape with only a lig ht bit of rubbing to the edges. Owners name and date (1940) is neatly inked on the front fly of each volume. Note that shipping charges will be based on a weight of 28 pounds.
