Uncut and unopened pages. Quarter vellum, cloth covered boards, vignette in blind, gilt lettering on spine. Corners have small curls/bumps, some soiling to boards and vellum on spine. minor foxing to endpapers. Dampier, an English buccaneer and explorer, travelled extensively in the 17th and early 18th centuries. This book describes his travels to Malacca, south Pacific, West Indies as well as a study on winds, storms, tides and currents. Photographs on request.
